#7. Red Velvet Communion Cake
When a family member asked for a red velvet Communion cake, it turned out to be one of the simplest and most delicious options around.
A cake mix works perfectly well here, though there are plenty of red velvet recipes online if you’d rather bake from scratch.
The icing was made using two tubs of mascarpone cheese, mixed with a few drops of vanilla essence and icing sugar, then finished with a First Holy Communion cake topper cross and sugar petal flowers.
It was all scoffed on the day!
