Fantastic Events for all the Family at SPF 2022
The theme of this year’s St Patrick’s Festival is Connections/Naisc. Through contemporary and traditional Irish arts, culture and heritage, the Festival will connect families, friends and communities across Ireland, and our global tribe of 80 million.
The iconic National St. Patrick’s Day Parade returns to the streets of Dublin on March 17, with more pageants, more marching bands and more participants than ever before!
And new for 2022 is Festival Quarter at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, Dublin 7 which will be home to a magical day-to-night urban Festival for all ages to enjoy, in the heart of Dublin, from March 17 – 20, from 12pm to 6pm daily. Family fun and community spirit are integral to St. Patrick’s Festival.
Enjoy four free days of family friendly frolics, from performance, theatre and giant games to a Céilí Mór.
- Immerse yourself in talks, film screenings, interactive games, circus and science shows.
- Enjoy the thrills and spills of circus, games and street theatre performances.
- Get into the true St. Patrick’s Day spirit with the return of the much loved Céilí Mór.
- Join the conversation with a selection of always engaging and often challenging talks and panels, as well as many live performances every day from rock, pop and hip hop to traditional, classical and more.
Enjoy the City Funfair – from waltzers and bumper cars to old time carousels, there’s something for everyone at the City Funfair! Dare to be suspended upside down or whisked through the air at amazing speed!
A firm Festival favourite, the Funfair will light up the city with colourful carnival fairground attractions. Suitable for all the family, enjoy the thrills and spills of the Funfair experience!

SPF TV, the Festival’s virtual TV station here on the website will offer front row seats to live performances and recorded programmes from March 16 to 20 for those who cannot attend in person. Additionally, there will be many St. Patrick’s Festival supported live events and club nights throughout Dublin, all of which will be announced shortly.
