We’re super excited at Mykidstime because The BFG movie (cert PG) is coming to our cinema screens on July 22nd! Clonakilty Sausages are one of the official partners of The BFG Movie in Ireland. If you’d like to enjoy a big BFG breakfast here are 12 Easy Breakfast Recipes for the Best Ever BIG Breakfast at Home that are sure to satisfy your hungry little giants.
The BFG is the exciting tale of a young girl named Sophie (played by British newcomer Ruby Barnhill) and the mysterious Giant – The BFG (played by Oscar Winner Mark Rylance) who introduces her to the wonders and perils of Giant Country. Two of the world’s greatest storytellers – Roald Dahl and Steven Spielberg – unite to bring Dahl’s beloved classic to life. The BFG will be in cinemas in Ireland on July 22nd.

#7. Homemade Breakfast Bread
Homemade breads and loaves make a lovely addition to any breakfast table. Prepare in advance if you’re pushed for time, and once stored correctly should last all week. Serve fresh or toasted for a tasty treat anytime of the day.

#10. Breakfast Smoothie
Smoothies are a great start to your day, packed full of healthy ingredients, and easily made in any blender. #11. Scrambled Egg Baskets
Add a bit of drama to your scrambled eggs by creating a basket from a slice or bread and topping with cheese before melting under the grill. Yum!
- To create the baskets, cut the crusts off your favourite sliced bread, heat the oven to 200C and lightly butter both sides of the bread. Press each slice into a muffin tin and bake for approx 10 minutes.
- Cook your scrambled eggs and divide between your baskets.
- Grate over some cheese and place under the grill for 3 or 4 minutes, until the cheese has melted.
