Drum roll! The top ten favourite Halloween movies from childhood according to 1,000 parents were:
- Casper
- The Goonies
- Hocus Pocus
- The Witches
- Labyrinth
- Bedknobs and Broomsticks
- Monsters
- Young Frankenstein
- The Nightmare Before Christmas
- Harry Potter
The research was commissioned by Kelkin and conducted by iReach Insights among a national sample size of 1,000 people during October 2015. They also asked parents what they thought the ultimate kids’ Halloween movie needed:
- Witches
- Ghosts
- A haunted house
- Lots of magic
- A few good frights
- A brave child
- Vampires
- Goodies defeating baddies
- A loveable cartoon character
- Monsters
Popcorn is the snack of choice to enjoy with a Halloween movie and 63% of parents think popcorn is a healthier option for trick or treats too.
