1. Letters to Santa Gold – iOS
(Reviewed by Louise)
The app doesn’t really do anything! It asks a few questions about the child sending the letter and what they want for Christmas but these toys are not mentioned in the reply that comes a few hours later.
As a parent, it is an app I will be deleting. It is boring, no music, no christmas feel about it all. I really thought I had done something wrong. Also each time you open the app to asked if you want to use the ‘free finger mood scanner’, sorry but no thanks. The reply that comes back is not interactive at all, there really is nothing to this app.
I tried to get my 3.5 year old using it or looking at it but no way, not interested at all, just wanted to go on to other apps where there is colour, music & interaction! His only quote was ‘ let me put on my game’! I didn’t even bother showing it my 1.5 year old, no point what so ever!

2. Crazy Santa Xmas Racing – iOS
(Reviewed by Jennifer)
This is a fun racing game, where you help Santa to collect all his presents that he left behind. You race up hills and down, collecting presents and gaining points and powerups. My 7 year old son enjoyed it and there are options for single and multi-player so can race against each other.
One major negative is the Ad pop-ups and it also hung 3 times on me at first few game plays, and had to be re-installed, so for that reason, we would only rate it a 3.

3. Toca Hair Salon – Christmas Gift – iOS
(Reviewed by Jill)
Hair Salon is a fun little App for children. The setting is a hair and beauty salon, and you are the stylist. Chose either Santa or a Christmas tree for your chair and trim (beard or branches), grow, decorate or colour away to your heart’s content. Great sound effects too.
“This is a very, very good game. I really like making Santa stylish for Christmas. I hope they make more versions when it’s Easter and summer, with even more accessories” – Moya(8)

5. Sleeps to Christmas 2 – iOS
(Reviewed by Naomi)
This app was ok. I found that if you pressed the screen too much the app closed.
We liked the different characters. I personally thought it was missing Santa saying hohoho. My daughter said she liked it but asked where the game was! She’s 4. I had an app last year that threw snowballs and did a few other things so I’m guessing that’s why she asked.
Overall it is ok, does exactly what it says.
