LEARN-IT LEGO EDUCATION SUMMER CAMPS (11+)

Learn It Lego Education Summer Camps cover a variety of different themes but their Senior Robotics – Mindstorms NXT/EV3  for 11+yrs enables students to discover Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in a fun, engaging, hands-on way. Combining LEGO building with software and curriculum activities allows students design, program and control robots. Students can build robots and use software to plan, test and modify sequences of instructions from a variety of real life robotic behaviours. WHIZZKIDS SUMMER CAMPS (8-17YRS)

Whizzkids Discover IT Summer Camps are for kids aged 8 to 17 and mix indoor and outdoor action, with sports, code breaking & web design so kids have a fun & varied day. Camps are taking place during July and August in various locations across the country in top level universities and 3rd level institutions, thus giving kids access to great facilities. Camps run in DCU, UCD, Cork, Clonmel, Limerick, Galway, Maynooth & Tralee..

SONGSCHOOL, DUBLIN (TEENS)

Songschool at the National Concert Hall are week long music camps running week of 13th July, and are for secondary school students who are interested in writing and recording songs, performing them at a concert, making a video, learning about music technology, and meeting people who love music as much as they do… not to mention forming bands and having fun!

BRICKFLICKS

Brickflicks run stop motion summer camps in various locations across the country. Bring your favourite mini figure to life and learn tips and techniques on all aspects of stop motion. These camps are focused on hands on learning and particpants work in small groups. These camps are suitable for 8 years + and are happening this summer in Drogheda, Greystones, Cork, Tallaght, Sligo, Roscommon, Newbridge & Ennis.

GLOR WORKSHOPS, CLARE (12+ YRS)

Ballet Ireland’s 15th Annual Summer School takes place at Glor Theatre, Ennis, from 13th – 17th July, and is suitable for 6+yrs, with a seperate group for those over 12 years. Drawing on inspiration from the original tale, The Frog Prince, (Brothers Grimm), this year’s participants will have an unforgettable time creating a ballet with professional dancers from Ballet Ireland.

The 12 Hour Play Project! With Majella Perry is running from 20th – 24th July this year and is suitalbe for 12 – 15 year olds. This offers an opportunity to young people to write, cast, design, rehearse and perform in just 12 hours! The Learn Robotics Camps from 17th – 21st August for 10-13 year olds will focus on the use of the LEGO Mindstorm robotics kits. Pupils will work in teams of two and with one Mindstorm robot and laptop between them so everyone is guaranteed a “hands on” experience. Pupils will be introduced to gear systems and mechanisms, flow chart programming, sensors and engage in problem solving tasks. Various tasks and challenges will be set throughout the week with a competition element each day.

ART IN GALWAY (5-13 YRS)

Art in Galway is running summer camps for 5-13 yr olds, in Renmore, Galway on 17th – 21st August and in Salthill on July 13th – 17th & August 10th – 14th. The camps are organised and delivered by a qualified Art and Design teacher, and children can expect an exciting range of activities including: painting, drawing, 3D, and clay, to name a few. Each camp works from a theme and participants explore art concepts throughout the week culminating in a group exhibition on the Friday afternoon. DELPHI ADVENTURE SUMMER CAMPS, LEENANE, CO GALWAY

POWER SOCCER SUMMER CAMPS, GALWAY (6+YRS)

Power Soccer School of Excellence provides excellent soccer coaching for boys and girls in Galway City and County, training indoors from September to June and outdoors for Summer Camps in July and August.The Main Camps are for 6+yrs, and run from 10 am-2 pm Mon-Fri.

Galway Arts Centre Visual, Literature and Drama Summer Camps, Galway

Galway Arts Centre have this ideal summer camp for  teens who enjoy creating and learning about the arts. They have a teen only camp running from July 27th to 31st.

Camps run from 9am to 2pm daily at The Galway Arts Centre, Dominic Street

• Week 1: 13th – 17th July for children aged 5 to 8 years
• Week 2: 20th – 24th July for children aged 9 to 12 years
• Week 3: 27th -31st July for teens aged 13 to 15 years

Galway Stagecoach Summer Camps for Teens

Galway Stagecoach have summer camps running for 4 to 16 year olds 13th to 17th July with Alice The Musical to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll’s masterpiece. They will also have an advanced musical musical theatre course for teenagers, FAME JR from the 4th to 8th August.
