Approximately 500 babies die around the time of birth annually in Ireland. A Little Lifetime Foundation is a voluntary organisation who offer support to parents whose babies pass away during pregnancy, at or around the time of birth. Read more to find out about the services they offer.
A Little Lifetime Foundation (formerly ISANDS) act as the voice for bereaved parents and families in Ireland and aim to promote healthy grieving and bring understanding and hope when a baby dies.
Support for Bereaved Parents
A Little Lifetime Foundation provide counselling, support meetings, creative workshops, online support, remembrance events, an online shop and much more for bereaved parents, siblings, grandparents and other family members.
The supports are based on other bereaved parents’ and families’ experiences. They have walked in your shoes and understand your pain and feelings of grief and sadness at this time.
In addition they produce a support pack, A little Lifetime, which is distributed to all maternity hospitals and units in the country and can help parents work through their grief and come to terms with some of the more practical issues too.
