The Department of Education has announced today that parents who homeschooled their children during the pandemic will be entered into a special prize draw to win a family trip to Disney World in Florida!
Are You Eligible to Win?
In a move to thank parents for their contribution to children’s schooling, the Department of Education has announced that all families with parents who homeschooled during the pandemic will be entered into a contest to win a family trip to Disney World.
Each parent who helped with homeschooling their child or teen will be able to enter the draw for an all-expenses trip to Florida with flights, accommodation, meals and theme park tickets included.
A spokesperson for the Government said “We just want to thank parents for their efforts with a small chance to win this amazing prize.”
It’s expected that the prize draw will take place at the end of the school year, with the winning family jetting off to enjoy the trip of a lifetime once travel is once again possible.
Reactions from Parents
Parents have reacted strongly to the news, with excitement at the thought of any trip beyond their own county.
“I would absolutely love to win this amazing family trip to Florida” said mum of 3, Ciara.
Sharon, who has ten-year-old twins, was a bit more circumspect in her reaction: “I suppose if we were to win, the kids would be excited and I wouldn’t mind a bit of a break.”
