Ever despaired of the dolls on the market for little girls today? Too much make-up, too grown-up? Well you need to meet Lottie! Here are 10 Things You Didn’t Know about Lottie and why we think she’s among the great positive role models for kids:

#1. Lottie is Normal

Lottie’s body is based on the average proportions of a 9 year old girl, developed alongside academics in the areas of child psychology and nutrition. Lottie represents a healthy view on body image, and is a positive role model.

#2. Lottie can Stand on her Own Two Feet

She can stand on her own two feet (always a useful life skill for all girls, big and small).

#3. Lottie Doesn’t Wear Makeup, Jewellery or High Heels

The key point of difference is that Lottie has a ‘childlike’ body – she doesn’t wear makeup, jewellery or high heels.

#4. Lottie is all about Letting Girls be Girls

Lottie is all about doing all the activities a child would do, not growing up too quickly, and presenting a healthy view on body image. Letting girls be girls!

#5. Lottie’s Hair Doesn’t Tangle!

Ok, not about a positive role model but if you’ve ever had a standard doll and ended up trying to detangle her hair, we know you’ll appreciate this fact about Lottie! Her hair is lovely and soft; it doesn’t tangle and knot like other doll hair.

#6. Lottie is Flexible

Lottie has bendable knees with ball socket hips and arms; her head can move side to side and she can do the splits front to back and side to side. Gymnastics Lottie is good at all of these!

#7. Lottie is Award Winning

Launched in August 2012, she has won 19 international awards, including 3 Oppenheim Portfolio Platinum Awards. All proof of why parents and kids love Lottie.

#8. Lottie has a Friend called Finn

Finn, Lottie’s friend, is a boy doll who loves to fly his kite and go fishing with Lottie! And he’s not even dressed in camouflage!

#9. Lottie is Easy to Dress

Unlike other dolls on the market, her clothes are made of tactile fabrics with velcro fastenings to make it easy to change her outfit. No more struggling with impossibly tight sleeves and tight jeans!

#10. Lottie is Not Perfect

Lottie is a feisty character; she can stand on her own two feet and whilst she occasionally makes mistakes, she learns from them. She is not perfect. Lottie loves adventure and the outdoors and uses her imagination.

Every Lottie is presented in a giftable, illustrated and collectible ‘doll box bag’, with minimal plastic packaging. Recommended Age: 3 Years +
