The Food Safety Authority has announced a recall of certain batches of Cow & Gate and Aptamil Baby Muesli due to the presence of apple stalks which may pose a choking hazard for weaning babies.

Nutricia is recalling certain additional batches of its Aptamil baby muesli products, which follows a similar announcement in January where these products and Cow & Gate baby muesli were also recalled.

Which Aptamil Baby Muesli is Affected?

The products recalled include all batch numbers with the following best before dates:

Aptamil Oats, Raisin & Apple Bircher Muesli 10+ months (275g)

Best Before dates: 27/12/21 and 16/01/22

Aptamil Multigrain & Fruit Muesli 10+ months (275g pack)

Best Before dates: 28/12/21 and 16/01/22

Cow & Gate My First Muesli 10+ months (330g)

Best Before dates: 13/10/21

No other batches or product ranges are affected.

What Should You Do?

Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batches. If you have one of these affected products, Nutricia advises you to return the product to the store you bought it from to receive a full refund. You won’t need a receipt.
