Looking for somewhere child friendly to eat out in Offaly? Here is our pick of the best child friendly restaurants in Offaly.
In our experience buggies are rarely welcome anywhere. Some places will take buggies from you at the door, others will quite simply refuse you entry. So when possible if dining out with a young baby bring the car-seat and with an older baby or toddler you will find high chairs / booster seats in any child friendly eatery. Here’s what we think makes a restaurant child-friendly.
Sirocco’s
Sirocco’s Restaurant on Patrick Street in Tullamore, have a very good children’s menu too and are welcoming too. “The few times we have been they have always gone out of their way to look after the boys.”

Balcone Italiano
Balcone Italiano in the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore has another excellent children’s menu & friendly staff. Italian food, open in the evenings.
Cafe India and Yaagdar
Cafe India & Yaagdar both in Esker Court (off Patrick Street) in Tullamore are very friendly Indian restaurants which are welcoming to kids. Both open for lunch & dinner.
Paddy Fields

French Quarter Cafe
Technically we know it’s not Offaly but we are including The French on French Church Street in Portarlington. “The French is a very nice little cafe and Eamon, the owner, is fantastic. He always goes out of his way for his customers and is really lovely to the kids.”
