Please note that not all activities at these family friendly campsites are free of charge or available every day, so do check before you travel. Some campsites have also introduced restrictions around the number of tents they allow and short-term lets, so again please check before travelling to ensure you can get the type of pitch you want.
Nore Valley Park, Bennettsbridge, Co. Kilkenny

Nore Valley is family run and is located in a quiet area 11km from Kilkenny City. The site is situated on an open farm so anyone staying on site has free access to the farm. Children are encouraged to help out at feeding time.
The site specialises in family activities, some of which may incur a small charge. These include:
- Children’s play area
- Sandpit with diggers
- Chess
- Pool room
- Crazy golf,
- Pedal go-karts
- Trailer rides
There is also a river walk through the farm and woodlands and you can bring your dog.
For those who want to stay on-site but have no tent or caravan of their own, Nore Valley Park has a number of lovely wooden lodges and spacious mobile homes available to rent.
We especially like the delicious home baked food on offer, including bread, scones, tarts, biscuits and pizza.
Campsite & Caravan Park at Lough Key Forest Park, Roscommon

The caravan and camping park at Lough Key is open annually from Easter to September. It has 51 landscaped, secluded pitches with electricity points and three large areas for tent space.
There is a recreational block with an indoor space for games or dining. The building has a recently renovated shower block with bathrooms. It also includes a small cooking area and a laundry room. Lough Key has a lakeside cafe and a number of food trucks too.
The family friendly activities at Lough Key Campsite & Caravan Park, some of which incur a cost, include:

Lakeside Holiday Park is a very family orientated park overlooking the lake of Lough Derg. There are a selection of pitches both on the waterfront and shaded with the trees. They also have a selection of mobile homes for hire.

You can also hire a Fire Pit for the real camping experience at night.
We especially like the pier with seating where children can jump into the lake from the diving board.
Westport House Caravan & Campsite, Westport, Co. Mayo

The campsite is set in the grounds of Westport House Estate is just a 15 minute stroll from Westport town. The facilities are spotless, safe and accessible. They include access to free hot showers, recycling, waste water removal, washing up facilities and WiFi.

Hidden Valley Resort, Wicklow

Hidden Valley is home to one of Ireland’s largest inflatable Aqua Parks and offers both camping and accommodation for short break holidays. Fully serviced pitches are offered for those camping, and the park offers both self-catering log cabins and glamping accommodation too.

International Outdoor Adventyre Centre (IOAC), Wexford

IOAC offers pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes and also have a selection of recently upgraded Glamping Cabins. There is also a delicious café on-site. During July and August they have live entertainment in the evenings.
They have an extensive Outdoor Adventure Centre including:

River Valley Holiday Park, Redcross, Co. Wicklow

Activities available from the park include:

Ferrybank Caravan & Camping Park, Wexford

Ferrybank is one of a small number of sites that are open all-year round. The site is part of the Wexford Swimming Pool & Gym complex.
Facilities at the complex include:
- Public pool 25m long and 1.8m deep

- Games room
All are available to residents on the site at a concession. Their pool also has the Poolpod accessibility platform which allows access to the main pool.
We especially like that it is just a 5 minute walk into Wexford Town.
Camac Valley Caravan and Campsite, Dublin

Situated just off the Naas Road and on the edge of Corkagh Park, the family friendly Carmac Valley campsite and caravan park offers a good alternative for those wishing to visit Dublin.
The site has fully serviced hardstands, shower blocks, kitchen and laundry room and free wi-fi throughout. It is very accessible with an induction loop at reception and braille and tactile signage, ramps to public areas and facilities and they welcome guide and hearing dogs.
