From music and science to fabulous food, these are fun festivals to look forward to!

Westport Folk and Bluegrass Festival, Mayo

Westport Folk and Bluegrass Festival takes place in many venues in the centre of Westport, Co. Mayo, June 9th-11th 2023. The 2023 festival will welcome 14 different acts from the US, UK, Czech Republic and from Ireland.

Among the acts are the world renown The Kody Norris Show, Fog Holler and Bill and The Belles to name but a few.

The Ballina Salmon Festival is a celebration of summer. This year’s festival taking place 8-15th July 2023 will see music, heritage, teddy bear picnic, fireworks, street parties, treasure hunts and a full line up of events for children, visitors and locals alike are sure to enjoy this fun packed 7 day festival.

Durrow Scarecrow Festival, Laois

The Durrow Scarecrow Festival 2023 runs from 30th July to 7th August 2023. It is a fun family event for young and old, with over 300 scarecrows to see around the village, in many different designs and themes. There’s plenty more on offer too including live music, craft workshops, country market, adult, teen and children’s entertainment, and scarecrow treasure hunt.

The Festival of Curiosity, Dublin

The Festival of Curiosity is Dublin’s annual international festival of science, arts, design and technology. The 2023 Festival dates are still tbc but it usually takes place in July. This year will be the 10th anniversary for this fun family friendly festival.

The 2023 Rockin’ Food Festival in Enniscorthy taking place 4th-7th August 2023 hosts a fabulous schedule of chefs, producers and special guests in the Food Marquee. The Big Grill Festival 2023, Dublin

The Big Grill Festival

The Big Grill Festival returns 17th-20th August 2023 with 4 days of fire, food and fun including live acts, music, kids entertainment, talks and more.

Early bird tickets are on sale now but good news, under 12s go free. The kids Little Grillers area is open on Saturday 12-4.30pm and on Sunday 12-6pm only, but under 12’s are still welcome for all sessions, when accompanied by a responsible adult of course.
