Here are some soft play places in Limerick:

  • Tons of Fun at Eastway Business Park have Parents & Toddlers drop in sessions Monday to Thursday mornings between 10am-12pm during school term. No booking needed. NB socks are required at all times in play areas (both kids and adults!)
  • Kidstown in Corbally has a fairy themed space with bright colours and ball pools for babies to freely crawl with a separate two level structure for those more adventurous toddlers.
  • Dreamland is Ireland’s first all-inclusive play centre for all children to play together regardless of their ability or disability. It’s designed to reflect a child’s idea of a magical place, the kind they only find in story books or in their wonderful imagination.

Granary Library has children’s storytime at 3.30pm on Wednesdays suitable for 2-7 years while they run Roisin Meaney’s Storytime monthly on Saturdays at 11.30am for 2-6 years. Some places to visit in Limerick or nearby with preschoolers:

  • At King John’s Castle there’s plenty for wee ones to enjoy, including interactive exhibits, dressing up and more.
  • At Funworld Bowling you can request buffers to be added to the lanes so wee ones can’t help but knock down some pins!
  • Curragh Chase Forest Park at Kilcornan has two children’s playgrounds, enjoy picnic sites and BBQ area, toilets, forest walks and gardens. NB you will need €5 in coins for car parking.
  • For your airplane-mad preschooler, they will enjoy a visit to The Foynes Flying Boat Museum where you can enjoy an authentic 1940’s cinema and see the only full sized replica B314 flying boat in the world.
  • Small kids will enjoy the Folk Park at Bunratty Castle as you stroll from house to house or around the charming village street complete with school, post office, doctors house, hardware shop, printers and a pub. They also have a fun fairy trail and adventure playground.
