#1. Have a Feature Mural
Make a feature mural on one wall. We love this tree mural idea and you can get the full tutorial from Justagirl who spent a few hours creating this lovely mural.

Or you will find tons of wall mural sticker sets available to buy online, e.g. we have seen lots of nice ones on Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com
#2. Use Light Strings
This idea from Decozilla using sheers with strings of LED lights hanging down around the bed is really pretty. They have used a 3 stage curtain rail attached to the ceiling to hang the sheers from.

#5. Use the Vertical
Another idea, if space is at a premium, is to use the vertical space, to help keep things neat and tidy. This idea from Effortless Style uses floating shelves then below those rods that you can hang buckets and baskets off to store those little things.

#6. Try Citrus Colours
This girl’s room idea we found on Instagram makes use of a citrus theme with orange, pink and white, with purple accents.

Very fresh and modern.
#7. Feature wall
Make a feature wall using different sizes and styles of picture frames like the one from Deavita painted in different colours to match the colour scheme. Some have photos, some have nice quotes in them.

#8. Create a Seating Area
If you have space in her room, make a seating area in one corner, with extra bean bags for friends who come round. We love the colour scheme on this one too.
#9. Use Wallpaper for Feature Areas
You could have one whole wall with wallpaper, or I like this idea of using wall paper in different sections of the room as a feature, as in this tween bedroom on House of Turquoise, designed by Jessica Ahnert Davis, of Nest Studio.
Pick a paper to match a colour scheme for the room. The turquoise on this one matches the window seat fabric as well as the rug and blinds.

#10. Go Blue
Blue isn’t just for boys. This colour scheme from Lotus Blue incorporates blue with shades of pink and red.
Paint an old table for a night stand in a vibrant pink to go with the baby blue wall colour, then choose cushions in bright designs and colours to coordinate in. The final touch is a quirky print in a frame.
