The Nameberry most popular names list is calculated on which names received the most views. These are not necessarily the most popular names received by baby boys or girls over the decade, but the names parents searched for most on the site.

Rather than tracking the names actually given to babies, it registers which baby names are attracting the most interest from expectant parents right now — which may translate to popular usage over the coming years.

The Most Popular Girls Names of The Decade

The most popular girls’ name, Charlotte, has probably gone up the charts due to Prince William and Kate’s daughter. Three A names are in the top 10: Amelia, Ava and Aurora.
And classic names such as Penelope and Eleanor have stayed in the top 10.
