Sold in Primark and Penneys stores across the UK and Ireland, this Winnie the Pooh plate has been recalled by Primark due to the possible migration of lead and formaldehyde into food.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland announced the plate recall today, encouraging customer to check their purchases and know how to proceed.

The batch code is Kimball no. 6041901

What’s the Risk?

The product has been found to release trace amounts of lead and formaldehyde at levels higher than EU regulation permitted levels, and this may present a risk if ingested.

What Should You Do?

Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in Primark and Penneys stores supplied with the implicated plates.

Customers who have purchased the plate can return it to their nearest store for a full refund. You will not be required to provide a receipt or proof of purchase to qualify for a refund.
