The Most Popular Baby Names in UK for 2022 are Revealed

We love a good baby names list, either to help inspire parents-to-be and parents, or to see what number their baby’s name is at on the list. BabyCentre.co.uk has just revealed the top 100 baby names for 2022 so far.

Read on to find out the top baby names in UK this year!

Most Popular Baby Names in the UK

In the boys’ chart, Muhammad and Noah are #1 and #2 respectively, while Jack jumped up six places to take third place from Oliver which dropped to the number six spot. Freddie and Harry fell from the top 10 to make room for new entries Ethan and Oscar at numbers eight and nine.

For girls baby names, Lily is back at number one, Sophia stays at second place, with Olivia dropping down to number three. Aria and Ivy were new entries at numbers eight and nine, with Ella and Rosie dropping out of the top 10.

Impact of the Royal Jubilee

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee has had some impact with Elizabeth moving up two places in the top 100, while Charlotte hopped up four places to number 30 and Lottie jumped up 14 places to number 52.

George stayed in the top 10, while William climbed 12 places from 41 to 29, and Louie/Louis also remained in the top 30. Harry, Meghan, Kate, and Catherine all continue to be popular.
