Lough Key (or Lough Spookey as it’s known at this time of year!) Forest and Activity Park has some fantastic events for all the family over the mid-term break and Halloween. Check out the schedule so you can plan a day trip or two and enjoy the fun!
Lough Spookey Goings On
Sunday 30th October
- Cecilsteins Lough Spookey Expedition 11am – 4pm
Halloween Themed Trivia Trail. Using your map and activity pack to help you find your way, you will be instructed to visit 5 locations in the park to solve the challenge and decode the words. €10 per activity pack. - Halloween Movie 12.30pm – 2pm
Free, spaces are limited so first come, first served. - Face Painting with Fierce Fun Faces 1pm – 4pm
- Giant Inflatable Special Guests & Live Dinosaur Display 2pm – 4.30pm
- Boda Boo 4pm – 6pm
Questing with a twist. Fun filled activities, imaginative puzzles and enjoyable tasks, but no instructions! At Halloween who knows who or what could be waiting for you in the Boda Borg. If you dare to enter! - Halloween Colouring Competition
Runs all week and winner will be chosen on November 6th
Monday 31st October

Halloween songs, stories, poems and showcase dance routine by the magnificent DAS Academy students. - Halloween Costume Party with resident Lough Spookey DJ 3pm – 4.30pm
Come in you fancy dress for fun, music, dance and party games with our resident DJ. Spot prizes on the day for best costumes. - Boda Boo 4pm – 6pm

- Mud Bugs Welly Adventure 11am & 2.30pm
Together with Jessica and your adventure kit which includes 4 autumn activity cards and a wooden magnifying glass in an organic drawstring cotton bag, immerse yourself in the MAGIC of nature and explore Lough Spookey through walking, adventure, nature inspired crafts and activities.
This is an outdoor event, so please dress appropriately. Duration is 90 minutes per session. Suitable for 5 – 10 year olds. Limited places available. €12 per child. Pre-booking is essential please contact [email protected] or 071-9673122 - Halloween Colouring Competition

Spooktacular Halloween workshops with Thomas and his team. Enjoy a monster mash up of activities including, Dance, Drama, Singing, Arts & Crafts, Halloween Games and lots more tricks and treats! 10am – 1.30pm Daily. Suitable for 5 – 12 year olds.
