For boys, Liam continues to hold the #1 position, with Noah remaining in #2 and Elijah hopping up to #3 spot. And James continues to be a popular choice for new boys staying firmly on the top 10 list. There’s a lovely boy’s name, Mateo, which has appeared for the first time in the top 20. Leo has also popped up to the top 20 for 2019.
For girls, this year most of the top 20 girls names are the same as 2018, there has just been a bit of shuffling up and down, for example, Olivia and Emma have swapped places for number 1 and number 2 respectively. Emily enters the top 20 for 2019.
