Data compiled by the Irish Passport Office has revealed the most popular baby names in Ireland for 2015. Daniel and Emily were the most popular names – is your child’s name on the list?

Based on applications for infant passports, the Irish Passport Office has revealed the most popular boy and girl names in Ireland in 2015.
The traditional Irish names continue to be popular choices for babies, particularly for boys with 6 out of the 20 top boys names being Irish.
Emily is obviously a firm Irish favourite, as was most popular name for girls in 2014 also, followed by Emma and Sophie in #2 and #3 positions.
Also in 2014, the top 3 most popular boys names (in descending order) were Jack, James and Daniel. For 2015, Daniel has now taken the #1 position.
